      Donna Booth Leverage HYDE PARK - Donna Booth Leverage, 62, of Hyde Park, died at home on Monday, Dec. 20, 2004. A lifelong area resident, she was a Special Education Teacher and Curriculum Room Coordinator at Dutchess County BOCES for 30 years, retiring in June 1998. She enjoyed bowling with friends, especially in the Rollettes and Starlight Ladies bowling leagues. She served on the Daffodil Committee for the American Cancer Society; served as Treasurer for Union Cemetery of Hyde Park from 2000 to 2004; she was on the Task Force for Child Protection and was a member of the After 5 Club for Stonecraft Ministries. Her number one joy were her eight grandchildren. Donna's interests included needlework, gardening, gourmet cooking, and decorating. She was a member of the Hyde Park Baptist Church. Born in Poughkeepsie on Nov. 9, 1942, she was the daughter of the late Fred C. and Lulu M. (Osterhoudt) Booth. She was a graduate of Dutchess Community College and SUNY New Paltz with a Masters Degree in Special Education. On Feb. 24, 1962, she married Richard A. Leverage. Mr. Leverage predeceased his wife on June 11, 1998. She is survived by her three children, David A. Leverage and his wife, Machelle of Peoria, Az; Cheryl Townsend and her husband, Bill of Groton, Ma; Linda Welles and husband, Doug of Newtown, Pa; eight grandchildren, Emily, Mitchell and Nathan Townsend of Groton, Ma; Ryan and Connor Welles of Newtown, Pa; Mychal, Brandyn and Deryk Leverage of Peoria, Az; her brotherin-law, Nelson M. Leverage and his wife, Nancy of Northridge, Ca; and a niece Patricia Leverage also of Northridge. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday Dec. 22, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Hyde Park Baptist Church, Rt. 9G, Hyde Park. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 23, 2004 at the church, Pastor Jonathan Weaver will officiate. Burial will be in the family plot at Union Cemetery of Hyde Park.
