The picture pasted in the Outhouse Family Bible may be this child. A child, probably a boy, apparently died when a lamp tipped over on him. He is buried under a stone, in front of a larger stone in Oakhall, Dane Co., Wisconsin. I don't know that he was their first child. -- Marcia Staton. | Son OUTHOUSE

Digby Courier June 23 1905 Freeport news
It is with sadness we have to record the death of one of our most highly esteemed young men, Stanley Outhouse, son of Capt. and Mrs. James Outhouse. Over a year ago he came home from the sea in poor health and it and it has been sorrow that we noted his vitality gradually yielding to the dreaded disease consumption. Although everything was done to prolong his stay among us he passed peacefully away Saturday morning, June 17th.having been a great sufferer, leaving to mourn their loss, mother, father, and three sisters. The funeral service was held Sunday afternoon, conducted by Rev. I. B. Colwell, assisted by Rev. E. C. Ford of Westport. Much sympathy is extended to the bereaved family and friends. | Stanley Brown OUTHOUSE

... as did Turner OUTHOUSE, husband of William's younger sister Mary Ann. Mary Ann (who, apparently, was also known as Sally and recorded as Sarah GALLIKER in one record) had married Turner at the age of 16 in 1827 in St. Clair County, indicating the Gollaher-Dykes family lived in St. Clair County until that time, and moved to Clinton County in 1828. Mary Ann Gollaher Outhouse reportedly had 11 children. Turner Outhouse died in June of 1850 of Erysipelas (AIS Mortality Schedules). | Turner OUTHOUSE
