Notes |
Married:
- John was at Bicker, Lincolnshire in 1809. The census of 1851 lists John Bossingham, age 60, agricultural labourer, of Norfolk Co., of the parrish of Upwell, with Ann, his wife, age 56, of Lincolnshire Co., and of the parish of Creeton, residing at Mumford Grove, Upwell, Norfolk [England]. The 1841 census lists John Bossingham [age 50, agricultural labourer, born in county],
Ann Bossingham, [age 45, not born in county], John [age 20, agricultural labourer, born in county] and William Johnson, [age 6, born in county], all of one household. .John was probably John and Ann's youngest son, William was probably the son of Mary Anne Bossingham and Richard Johnson, John and Ann's grandson. It also gives James and Lucy Ellis, age 25 [agricultural labourer] and 20 respectively, and John Ellis [age 20, of the Army] all of Upwell, Norfolk (indicating that they were born in that county)
A Mary Ann Bossingham appears in the 1850 census for Onandaga Co, NY, pg 285, ID#NYS6a286608. Witnesses were Robert Stevenson and William Bossingham. Traced through Debrett's of London
