Notes |
- (R10) Robert was evacuated with his father Nicholas to New Brunswick in 1783. He appears on the Muster Roll at Gulliver's Hole, St. Mary's Bay, Nova Scotia on 24 June 1784. He married on 20 Oct 1785 and established his homestead at Tiverton, Digby Co, Nova Scotia and there fathered a family of 12 children. (R34) Sarah was the daughter of John Caldwell, Sr and his first wife. John Sr remarried 20 Dec 1789 at Petite Passage (Tiverton, NS) to Nancy Vanvelsor. They had a family of 7 more children born around Tiverton and Caldwell's Cove area.
Marilyn Phelps notes: It is not known for sure if this Robert is a son of Nicholas or not. Also, note the age of Robert when his last child was born..This information received from Karen Small of New Brunswick.
The Outhouse Genealogy lists Robert as the second child of Nicholas and Elizabeth. *** Muster Roll of Captain William BAILEY’s in the Loyal American Regiment Commanded by Colonel Beverley ROBINSON, Flushing 20th January 1783
