      SAMANTHA MATTIE HAYNE OUTHOUSE. - 29 Sept. 1871 - 26 March 1930.

      Mrs. Mattie Outhouse, wife of county commissioner A.J. Outhouse, passed away at her home in Springview Wednesday, after several weeks of suffering from that dread disease cancer, with which she had been afflicted for several years. A large circle of Keya Paha county friends regret her departure and extend sympathy to the bereaved family. Mrs. Outhouse was a friendly, genial nature, always optimistic and pleasant. She endeared herself in life to all of her acquaintes by her cheerfulnes in combating the obstacles of life and making the best of conditions. She was a patient suffer throughout the months of affliction and whenever asked as to her condition said "just fine". She will be greatly missed by her friends and the community at large. Samantha Hayne was born in Marshall County, Iowa, September 29, 1871, being the fourth child of a family of twelve, born to George W. and Martha Hayne, and passed away March 24, 1930. being 58 years, 5 months and 29 days old at the time of death. She leaves to mourn her departure a husband and two daughters; Mrs. Matilda Gibson of Parker, South Dakota, and Mrs. Charlotte Hunter of Pierce, besides four brothers and four sisters, as well as a host of friends. Funeral services will be held at Springview hall Friday, March 28, and will be concucted by Elder W.A. Smith of Independence, Missouri. Interment will be in the Springview cemetery.
