      PHILIP DEWOODY SALMON Philip DeWoody Salmon, 57, passed away on July 26, 2011. He was born to Fred Dunning Salmon, Jr. and Frances Cowan Salmon on September 2, 1953, in Port Jervis, NY. In 1960 he moved with his family to Singer Island/Riviera Beach, FL, where he lived and worked throughout his life. He graduated from Riviera Beach High School in 1972. His companies, Sandy Shores Lawn Services and Salmon Services, served the residents of Singer Island and Palm Beach Shores for three decades. Philip had a lifelong love of surfing and was a founding member and last president of Sandy Shores Surf Club of Singer Island. In the mid 1960's he won first place overall in the first ever skateboarding contest held in the South. He enjoyed skiing and eagerly awaited Sun Fest each year. Philip will be remembered as hardworking and fun-loving with a grand sense of humor. His loyalty to family and friends will be forever cherished. Surviving to treasure his memories are his mother, Frances Cowan Simpson of Ashland, NH; Shelly, the love of his life; brother; Fred Cowan Salmon (Leslie); sisters, Stacy Doremus Cawley, Jennifer DeWitt Schwardt (Stefan); brother, Richard Karlton Salmon (Janet); stepsons, Mark and Luke Quinn; three grandchildren, Elizabeth and Brittany Quinn and Sebastian; Laurel Cherwin; nephews and nieces, Ryan, Amber, Kristen Freeman, Claire Salmon, Seren Cawley, and Zander Schwardt. There will be a gathering of family and friends on August 20, 2011, at 1:00 PM, at Northwood Funeral Home, 5608 Broadway, West Palm Beach, FL.
