Lifelong Resident of Madison, Patriotic Leader, Died on Saturday
Funeral services for Mrs. Charles Post, 69, of 1724 Madison street, who died Saturday night, were held this afternoon at 3 from the First Congregational Church. the Rev. Charles Beale officiating. Interment was at Forest Hill cemetery.
Mrs. Post was a lifelong resident of Madison and one of the first residents of Wingra Park. She was born in Kalamazoo, Mich., March 27, 1861 and came to Wisconsin with her parents in 1902.

Mrs. Genevieve Post of Madison, Wis., is the guest of her cousin, Mrs. Clair L. Morey at Washburn's Grove, east lake shore. Mrs. Post is enroute home from Boston where she has been attending the National G.A.R. encampment.

Mrs. Post was a lifelong resident of Madison and one of the first residents of Wingra Park. She was born in Kalamazoo, Mich., March 27, 1861 and came to Wisconsin with her parents in 1902.
Mrs. Post was active in many organizations in this city. She was a charter member of the Wingra Park Ladies Aid society. Her chief interest was in patriotic societies and she was a member of the Women's Relief Corps, the John Bell chapter of the D.A. R., a charter member of the Col. W. F. Vilas circle and a charter member of the Daughters of the GAR, an organization in which she held several offices. She was a trustee of the Memorial association for many years and a member of Eastern star.
She is survived by her husband, a daughter, Julia, and a brother, Perry Outhouse.
