- Maggie Almeda had a stroke at the age of 43 when she was told that her 2nd son, William John Caldwell, had been killed in battle in Arras, France. She suffered a 2nd stroke 3 days after the Canadian Government sent her a war medal for William John. She was just 49 years old and a member of the Latter Day Saints Church. Maggie Almeda was the dau. of James Firby Dennis and Florena Almeda Burley.
