- They were (married in the Parish Church [at Upwell] 'according to the Rites and Ceremonies of the Established Church by me, Edward Jones' The marriage certificate was signed by James Ellis, and Lucy Bossingham, with James Bossingham and Sarah Jerman [her mark x]. It doesn't indicate that the other three made their mark, but the certificate is obviously made out in a single handwriting, so that it is probably a copy of the original record.
